Fresh, never frozen turkey, gonna go bad?!

Question: I just purchased a turkey that is unfrozen and i am worried that it will go bad before Thanksgiving. How long can you hang on to a turkey without freezing it? I just got it on Saturday but I don't know how long it has been in the store. Do you think it will go bad before i cook it? Oh and also the turkey is brined, not sure if that matters...

It should be fine the brining will act as a preservative. If it smells bad don't assume it is bad a lot of times the little blanket that is included with poultry absorbs blood . If you throw this away and rinse the bird. The bird itself doesn't smell and the meat is fine.

well I would cook it now and slice it and then freeze it and then when Turkey day comes add a couple of cans of Chicken broth and stick in the oven to warm,It will save you time and it will taste Great!

Don't keep turkey without freezing more than 3 days. I'd advice to get a fresh one for Thanksgiving!
