I carry a case of Red bull on long road trips, just to keep me alert & focussed while driving.

edit: I just read this, you may want to do some research on this.
Energy Drinks Should Not Be Consumed During Exercise
Energy drinks should not be confused with sports drinks such as Gatorade, which are consumed to help people stay hydrated during exercise. Sports drinks also provide carbohydrates in the form of sugar and electrolytes that may be lost through perspiration.

The caffeine in energy drinks acts as a diuretic and promotes dehydration.

Yes, I love Sobe but othertimes I get rip it...I haven't heard this..

No.

I like to sleep at night.

Too much sugar. Not good for you at all.

I have before, quite often maybe 3 x's a week ,but they have such side efects on me, i have panic disorder.

but on days when i'm really conked out, i will drink part of a pepsi max. i dont have any on hand now. but tea or diet cola does it too, it just takes more.

BUT I DO TAKE GUARANNA, OPEN UP TH E CAPSULE & POUR SOME IN MY COFFEE OR DRINK. IT IS WHAT'S IN THE HERBAL TEA OF "GREEN TEA'' , IT IS NATURALLY OCCURING CAFFEINE...................GUILTY

No ! I have a heart arrhythmia already, it's not good for you.
To much caffeine, will make it worse.

Have done, but the best one for me is Lucozade but I don't drink it too often.
The best way for me and nutritionists have said it-is a sufficient breakfast. Not fatty foods, but one of my favourites is oats and if in a hurry the microwaveable ones are great.I might have a bit of fruit to follow,This releases carbohydrates slowly, leaving you fuller for longer.
How about smoothies? If you don't want to blend them..buy some in your weekly shopping perhaps.
Like some have said, the sugar and caffeine content can take it's toll.
As you said it's only certain days for you anyway, but the amount can be cut down to reduce risks.
