I'd say it was a chocolate lime. Did it look like the picture shown on here?

Only presumably without the writing.

The outside is a boiled sweet, so is very hard. The inside is usually milk chocolate, but I have noticed that it often looks a lot lighter than you'd expect, maybe due to the heating process needed to make the boiled sweet shell, so it's possible it could have looked white.

I don't know where you live, but in the UK, they're relatively easy to find. There isn't a specific manufacturer, a number of companies make them. Any traditional style sweet shop will sell them, as well as anywhere that stocks a good range of bags of sweets, eg Woolworths, big supermarkets, or places with a big pick 'n' mix section often have them. Plus there are lots of online suppliers.

sorry, we need more info. maybe lime delect?

"sweet" when describing a dessert is not a good descriptive word.

Did it have citrus? Brown sugar? maple? Chocolate?

Only thing I can think of is chocolate limes that are green but they have a choclate filling????? Buttermint Bon Bons?

Have a look on link below and see if you can find it on there quite a lot of old fashioned sweets on there

Sounds like chocolate limes to me - but they have milk chocolate inside. Most supermarkets sell them and so does Poundland.
