Do you still use Tescos?!

Question: Now that we all know about how large conglomerates like Tescos work. Screwing the suppliers and putting other shops out of business. Selling us crap under the false banner of "choice and convenience".
Who still uses Tescos..and if you do...WHY?

Don't use Tesco or any other of the 'big four' for food. I shop at Waitrose, dearer but better quality and they treat their suppliers properly.

yes we go to tescos to do shopping

Nope, don`t have one here

i like tesco's

screwing their suppliers' .. i think thats called business sense dear.. go and study business.

and no i dont use tesco, their staff & products are sub-standard .. i like quality, so i shop at sainsbury's.

Yes reluctantly I still use Tesco. When working within a limited budget you have to go where you get the most for your money and for me that's Tesco.

I only use Morrisons

All the big supermarkets are the same.I use Tesco every day for convenience.I can't carry heavy bags, so do a little shopping every day to save carrying heavy bags once a week in a big shop.I pick my kids up from school in Tesco's car park.I buy from small local shops as much as I can too, to keep them in business. In fairness to Tesco, they do give good deals, and I use the clubcard vouchers to pay for things like English Heritage and Cadw passes.Well worth it.

No, I have been boycotting the dreaded T word for a long time now. They get far too much of our money and are crippling independant retailers and paying farmers disgracefully low amounts for their produce. I try not to use any of the biggies but sometimes it is unavoidable.

Yes milk 40p pint Corner shop 60p ,,,,,beggars cant be choosers,,,,

no but i know some1 who always steals from there

i still use tescos simply because i prefer tescos and for the cubcard points

A long time ago now I went back to the old fashioned small family butcher and baker etc; alright - they are a little more expensive but you will never beat the quality - NEVER.I won't go back to Tesco either - their stores are ENORMOUS and I sincerely hate them, the clutter, the haz maz everyone shops like the world is coming to an end tonight also the "well presented staff" are to be desired, with the miserable talk of last nights soaps - ugh! give me a break.Keep your pre-packed crap. FRESH ROCKS.......!!!

I'm lucky enough to stay within 2 miles of a Tesco and an Asda
Yup, I'm a loyal Tesco shopper, for several reasons..

1] I don't care about the smaller shops that overprice and go bust, several of the local traders went bust round here because they were just too greedy!!
2]I honestly haven't found anything in Tesco that hasn't been really good quality, and the food is very tasty..
3] The staff in my local Tesco are VERY helpfull, nothing is too much bother for them, the local Asda has serious problems with staff attitude to customers!

As far as screwing the suppliers, why the hell should we care? these same suppliers have been screwing us all for years by inflating prices.. I'm sorry but i feel no sympathy for them at all...

I don't anymore but they do keep bombarding me with generous money off vouchers. I can't be the only one they're trying to tempt back.

That person who says Tesco's is substandard made me laugh they sell almost the same products as Tesco only for less money! Anyhow I go to all of them, Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda, Waitrose, M & S, Morrisons, Co-op watever takes my fancy....do a bit of my shopping in all the shops, that way money gets spread out and I get all my favourite products ;-)

Tesco are not the only supermarket that screws it's suppliers. They all do. Hopefully this practise is going to end and growers and brewers and canners etc will be treated properly. This will not necessarily put up prices as very often the screwed down price is not passed on to the customer.

I hardly ever use Tescos but thats more to do with the fact that the one in my town is a NIGHTMARE.

Car park - terrible
Store - packed with people standing lifeless in aisles
Tills - full
Food - either cheap and disgusting or expensive and 'ok'

That's why this mum goes to Asda!

i go to morrisons

There aint any TESCOS in my area/country. (i think)

'It has become fashionable to knock Tesco as they are one of the most successful British companies. They have a market capitalisation far in excess of Sainsbury, Morrisons and Marks and Spencer added together. They trade all over the world. They are the largest employer in the UK other than the government, and they and the other majors in the sector have driven down food prices consistently over the last ten years. Plenty of suppliers would love to supply to Tesco but actually can't produce enough goods, or actually cannot guarantee the quality and consistency that a major retailer demands. Tesco often forms the anchor in a shopping destination, bringing customers in to smaller, specialist, shops in the area. Don't believe all the rubbish printed in some of the papers by hacks after a story and a few disgruntled suppliers. Tesco is a British success story that other companies would do well to emulate. I do use Tesco, because they give us a huge range, value for money, convenience and I firmly believe they do listen to customers and try to give them what they want.

Yeah i do im afraid, i use to Tesco metro as its literally a 2 minute walk from my flat and its handy for last minute ingredients required!

problem with tesco's is in a lot of areas there are just no alternatives, if its the only shop nearby & you dont have a car, there really is no choice...

Yes, I use Tesco. They have a good choice and low prices. I'm poor so I can't afford to 'subsidize' the small shops with their ridiculously high prices.
