  • My freezer has a light :)

    My freezer has a light.

Both of my freezers have lights.

    Maybe yours is out?

More expensive freezers do have lamps. They are more difficult to get to work because of the lower temperatures.

if there were light in the freezer, it would make people hold the door open longer, and then the foods would melt.

    you got your answers there.

    my freezer has a light

usually you have to look in a fridge, but most freezers you pull out the drawer thus making a light slightly pointless unless your kitchen is in the dark....................

It might be something to do with the fact that light bulbs can give off heat and would defrost your food every time you opened the door. Also, where would you put a light? They're usually crammed full with drawers!

these are the questions that haunt me...

Well, actually...my fridge is the exact opposite! lol My freezer has the light but my fridge doesn't. I guess it's just the model/maker.

never seen a freezer without a light-would be too dark

Depends on manufacturer and model of appliance. You get what you pay for. Like some models have auto defrost and some don't. It is a money thing.

All the freezer i've seen haven't a light.
    I guess it's because:
It would in most of the cases frost, after some time, making the light unuseful (cause it's covered)
Then it's because the bulb has to be different from normal house bulbs: the heat, and then the sudden freezing would crack it, sooner or later
Then it's because most of the combi frigge/freezer have a little freezer, thus making the light unuseful for such a little space.

But i guess bigger freezers have one ^^

because its to cold for the elves

I've never really thought bowt it

    interesting djdjdjdjdjdjdjd

    rock paper scissor =D

There is no-one living in the freezer; it is too cold, so it does not need a light.

Hey, you pull open a drawer, and all the light in the kitchen shines in there.

    Usually....

I would assume that the answers has to do with the fact that there are (usually) no 'draws to pull out' in the fridge, and you therefor are helped by having a light inside of it. On the other hand, in the freezer there are usually draws which you can pull out and easily see what they contain.

Of course, I am only guessing.
    Sash.

    hmmm....some good answers eh?
    mine dont have a light!
i never wondered why....but now i dont need to as our frinds here have replied to ur question!!

In the newer better quality ones there are lights in both!

Depends what freezer you get mine has a light in it and the previous one that was 30+years old had a light
