Why is American(north) food so salty?!


Question: wek~~~ I can't eat it. I just spat it. I bought a turkey from a supermarket today. It's all salty. American foods are so salty

why don't you just eat salt??? I know korean foods are so hot

but that's okay. because extream hot food is okay for our health and delicious
but why do you Americans like salt much?

lol , i like salty food , i like korean food too but sometimes the way they make rice is so tasetless , its just plane rice without salt,, in korean dishes i like bibimbap and korean bbq is really nice and fresh, , but american food are also really nice , they are not so salty , maybe u have tried it in wrong place

I like salty food.
I don't like the smell of Korean or India foods nor the smell or taste of foods containing garlic

I suspect that is because Americans eat too much processed food. And salt acts as a preservative to give processed foods a longer shelf life (can be stored at room temperature for long periods of time).

I myself restrict my salt intake to keep my blood pressure low.

That's why I don't but grocery store meat. They use salt as a preservative and ruin the meat.
