How long can a glass bottle of soda stay in the freezer before exploding?!

Question: I've got some Stewart orange sodas (they come in those old fashioned glass soda botles) I want to chill really well.

once you see that the glass bottle is frosty take them out. usually between 4-6 hours.

I'm pretty sure they won't explode until the liquid is frozen solid. The liquid expands when it freezes and thats what causes the explosions. I would put them in there until the glass is frosted then take them out.

Depends on what type of soda. Colas burst before fruity and root beer. More than a day then you may have a slushy on your hands.
