Why is there a light in the fridge but not the freezer?!

Question: Interesting... after a quick look.. I have a light in my fridge and freezer. Strange that you don't. I have an LG..

And in response to the one that answered before me..... I can see light all the way down to the bottom of the freezer... it works :)

element burns out too quick when it lights up, also space is a a premium in a freezer so light can not pass around the compartments so it is pretty pointless

If the freezer is an upright one, you will find some do have a light when opening the door. If you have a chest freezer there is really no need for one as when you open it up , it opens to the light of the kitchen.

Some people use a battery operated light which they leave on the wall near the freezer if needed.
