Does Root Beer has alcohol in it?!

Question: I heard that there are root beers that have alcohol in them, is it true? I was just wondering, I drank a root beer a few weeks ago and it doesn't taste like A&W, Barq's, IBC and any regular brand, it taste like a bit sour or something, I don't really know...

The answer is yes, but... lab tests show the alcoholic content which results from the fermentation of this root beer and found it to be between 0.35 and 0.5 %. Comparing this to the 6% in many beers, it would require a person to drink about a gallon and a half of this root beer to be equivalent to one 12 ounce beer. I would call this amount of alcohol negligible, but for persons with metabolic problems who cannot metabolize alcohol properly, or religious prohibition against any alcohol (extremist only), consumption should be limited or avoided.
Anything with sugar when fermented (naturally or controlled) will have some degree of alcohol. When I make wine, I add enough sugars to bring my specific gravity to about 1.09 an yield a 12 to 14% alcohol contnet (some natural fermentation may have reduced my original SG reading and the addition of extra sugars takes it to the higher alc content)

nope it don't .. even if it did. you couldn't get drunk on the amount if there was..

it's like shandy , same thing .. has .5% booze or something silly..

Nope. That's why it tastes awful :-((

no

1% only but is safe to drink

lol--what did you do just fall off a banana boat?! NO! It was probably off!

Natural root beers have this 0.5% alcohol. Most modern root beers are made in a lab. And lack this content.

i dont no but i hope it doesn't cause im drinking it rite now!!!
ahh!!!!!!!!!!
