Coffee making experts?!

Question: I work at a coffee house and get to make all different kinds of coffees. I've always wanted to know how can I make the coffees more smoother and taste better. For example, i make a mocha, so i use chocolate, espresso, and milk. But it always taste either like chocolate or just espresso. Are there other ways to make the drinks better? Like what can i add or do? I've been to other places and taste other coffees and they're amazing, so what can i do to improve? coffee experts, please help!

The main secret to any good recipe is to measure correctly. In the case of coffee, always measure and always use the same measurements each time you make the coffees. They need to taste the same each time you serve them.

keep trying different roasts and varieties of coffee until you are satisfied. Coffee is a strange thing. It's a delicate brew. Maybe you all don't store it well. Maybe you aren't using the best machine. Maybe the company that supplies your coffee isn't technically very good at roasting.

It's not a good idea to use additives that are not requested. People like to know what they are getting when it comes to coffee. These things must be disclosed.

Here's a good link (it's Alton Brown from Good Eats):

I am not a coffee expert. But I like to boil some whole milk, add some cocoa powder, sugar, & instant coffee & blend it up in the blender.

Maybe there's a name for this? I have no idea, but this is delicious.
