Whatever you do please don't buy Snapple or Arizona tea. Instead go to a Japanese market and buy green tea bags specially made for cold green tea. If you don't see any, ask the clerk and they will help you. The directions should be written in English.

I use cold green tea to make lemonade. You can use it with as much sugar as you like to make it sweet. I have been giving it to the kids all summer and they didn't know that they were drinking something healthy. I don't like the taste of hot green tea, so this a good way to get folks to drink it.

If you use the canned frozen kind, just add the tea instead of the 3 cans of water.

This sounds good to me:

Iced Green Tea with Ginger and Mint

3 ounces ginger, unpeeled and sliced
1 cup mint leaves
6 green-tea bags
1/2 cup honey
2 tablespoons lemon juice

In a large saucepan over high heat, combine the ginger and 6 cups of water and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add the mint and tea bags. Cover and let steep for 15 minutes. Strain the liquid into a large pitcher or other container. Add the honey and lemon juice; stir. Chill in the refrigerator. Serve in tall glasses over ice cubes and more mint leaves.

Tip: To frost glasses, dip the rims in water, then coarse sugar crystals.

Yield: Makes 6 servings

To make a big pitcher of regular iced green tea, pour 8 oz. almost-boiling water over three tea bags. Brew for three minutes (or longer if you want stronger tea). Pour the brewed tea into a pitcher of really cold water. (I use refrigerated filtered water). Serve as-is, or over ice, plain or sweetened, as you prefer.
