What coffee has the most caffeine?!

Question: I NEED A FIX!

Answers: I NEED A FIX!

An 8 oz cup for coffee typically has 150 mg of caffiene. But that's Arabica coffee. Robusto beans typically have more caffiene because they are grown at a lower elevation level.

Arabica coffee is typically more expensive than Robusto. So coffee houses typically use Arabica beans whereas Folgers/Maxwell House use Robusto beans. The Robusto aren't as high quality.

The roast doesn't affect the caffiene content at all. A french roast cup of coffee will have the same amount of caffiene as a light roast cup.

To get an extra kick from your coffee you should try a redeye. A redeye is a cup of coffee with espresso shots added. Typically a 16 oz redeye with 2 shots of espresso has the caffiene equivalent of a six pack of mountain dew.

If you want a coffee with the most caffeine, but a crappy coffee like Folgers and make sure to doctor it up. Coffees like Folgers, Maxwell House, etc, will always have more caffeine than ones you buy at coffee houses like Starbucks.
More caffeine means that it is going to taste worse, too.

I also suggest buying some chocolate covered espresso beans. Those will always perk you up!

Wake The **** Up Coffee...google it. some good **** yo

I think there are minor differences in the amount of caffeine in different varieties of coffee beans, different 'cultivars' from around the world. But they are minor. The real difference is in how the coffee is roasted. The darker the roast, the less caffeine. French roast has less than American roast. People think espresso has a lot but it doesn't, it just -tastes- stronger.

If you really want more caffeine, drink more coffee!

COFFEE (5 oz cup) CAFFEINE CONTENT (mg)
Drip method 110-150
Percolated 64-124
Instant 40-108
Decaffeinated 2-5
Instant Decaffeinated 2

Get some instant coffee from the store, and instead of putting one heaping teaspoon in, put in 2 or some random amount. Sugar & cream it up & drink it quick 'cause it's not gonna taste that good. =)
