If i have loads of coffee in the morning, can it still keep me up at night?!

Question: how long does it take to get out of your system?

Answers: how long does it take to get out of your system?

Nope. For you to be awake at night, you would have to consumed at late afternoon. Caffeine takes about 3-4 hours to have an effect. But, it can probably last you thru the night depending on your sleep cycle, coz once your sleep cycle broke, some can stay awake whole night while for some, it might be less than an hour...

And of course, it differs from people to people.

Loads of coffee in a short amount of time is not suggested but I have read that any caffeine intake after midday can keep you awake for that night. Also if your drinking alot of coffee regularly it will make less effect as your body gets used to it. I'd suggest trying to cut down and then having the odd one so you feel the 'effects'. :-)

Depends on how strong the coffee, the last time you drank it, how many times you peed, and of course if you ate anything today. Chances are if you had regular strength coffee, before lunch, peed alot and ate regular meals... you have good chance of getting some sleep but if you like warm milk...drink some and that may help you too.

Depends on how much you drink normally. I am drinking a cup of coffee now and going to bed soon. I do find that if I change brands, it has an effect, but if I keep to my usual brand, I can drink as much as I like with no effect.
