You can make anything that requires hot water. Just don't put anything besides coffe into the basket. If you want to make tea put the bags into the pot and let the water run into the pot. Same thing with hot cocoa or any other instant coffee. Leave the basket empty and just let the pot fill with hot water and then add any hot drink mix that you desire.

I brew my tea in my coffee maker. Once it's done I add sugar & water and it's done. I also run water through it for hot chocolate.

you can brew loose leaf tea...BUT coffee makers don't heat the water to a high enough temp to "properly" brew tea....but if you don't care about that then you could brew tea in it...

tea works... but do NOT pour hot cocoa mix into it.... it doesn't allow the water through it as fast as coffee and it'll flood..

... makes an awful mess..

seemed like a good idea at the time...

If you use it for coffee only run hot water through it to make the other drinks from the hot water. If you put tea in the basket, it will flavor your coffee bitter.

You can brew tea the same way you brew coffee. Just add the tea bags to the basket and brew like you would coffee. Just be sure to wash the basket between making tea and coffee.
