Why is it that most restaurants have Coke instead of Pepsi?!
Answers: I have always wondered this. From the fast food places to the nicer places, most of them have coke! It makes me mad, because personally I find coke gross!! Pepsi is so much better!!
Coke did start first in 1886. Pepsi started in 1890s but was invented by a pharmacist, so to the person who said it tasted like medicen your not far off! Pepsi got the jump on coke during the depression when they sold a 12 ounce bottle for 5 cents. Coke only had a six ounce bottle. So consumers watching the price got more for less if they picked a pepsi. I myself prefer pepsi than coke but will drink whatever the restaurant sells.
Coke provides the most financial benefit to them.
Coke has been very successful maintaining their hold on most franchise restaurants and fast food.
i have valt soda and alot of places around me are going from either mt. dew or melly yellow to valt so i hate valt!!!!

COKE ... has been around awhile longer .. kinda like a universal drink.
Also - most restaurants go with what they think is the most suitable drink ... combined with the best financial choice according to their establishment.
