What's the difference between the Tassimo 1200 and the Tassimo 1400?!

Question: I am shopping for a Tassimo system for my girlfriend this X-Mas and I see there's a 1200 model and a 1400 model, on the outside it seems the only difference is the 1400 has a gold 'start/stop' button while the 1200's is black? Is that the only thing that makes the 1400 worth more and different?

it's apparently supposed to work quicker, but i wouldn't waste the money. i bought my parents the 1200 and it works perfectly fine, no complaints.
