Does anyone know of a good coffee maker?!

Question: One that has a pause and serve that DOESN'T continue to drip, nor get grounds in your coffee? I currently have a Mr. Coffee in one of the 12 cup TFX models and I hate it.

I'm looking for something no more than $40, I'm kind of on a budget. Pause and serve are optional but I want one that has the water spout in the center of the basket, not on the side (Mine is on the side and this is the reason for the grounds in the coffee).

Thanks :-)

Don't know how much it costs but my parents have one and my mom is in love with it. It's a Hamilton Beach Brew Station. Never have we had a problem with grounds in the coffee. There's also no pot involved. It brews and then all you do is push your cup against the button under the spout and there you have it a nice cup of freshly brewed coffee. Really nice and great for company, also no mess!

Lots of luck.
For $40.00 you get cheap chinese made junk.

Edit...Most of what you see at a "decent price" is made for one purpose....to sell. They do not make the water hot enough to properly extract the coffee's oils and true flavors. But if you like the stuff they make at 'the office' it doesn't matter what you buy. It will taste like office coffee.

I think Bed, Bath, and Beyond has some good ones.

Terry T gave you the only answer you need i'm afraid

a decent coffee maker here starts at £150/$300

You are going to have to spend at least $100 for a semi-decent coffee maker. I think Cuisinarts are around that price range and they are pretty darn good coffee makers. There might be even cheaper Cuisinarts...search for them.

If you are going to spend only $40, you won't get much but grounds in your coffee I am afraid.

I would strongly recommend the Bunn GR10 based on your budget and criteria. It cost about $30 plus and can make up to 10 cups in approximately 4 minutes.

So, it fixs most of your requirements.
