I know people that have had those protein shakes.

get a blender

add 1 cup milk, then 1 scoop protein powder. give it a whirl.
If adding Ice cream add 1 to 2 scoops(depending how rich you want it)give it a whirl again. and your done.

I used to work in a restaurant and we made shakes like this.

vanilla

2 scoops ice cream
1cup milk
1 jigger vanilla syrup

give all three a whirl.

chocolate.

2 scoops chocolate ice cream
1 cup milk
1 jigger chocolate syrup

give it a whirl.

strawberry

2 scoops strawberry ice cream
1 cup milk
1/3 cup sweetened strawberry topping

put all 3 in and give it a whirl.

all makes 1 serving.

If you have a blender it will be much much easier.
And if you are looking to gain weight then go for it with the ice cream, if not just stick to the ice and milk. Also if you are not using a blender, the ice is going to remain chunky, not blend into a homogenized fluid.

With protein drinks most people add ice.
Not ice cream...
But as for the ice cream shake I normally take about four scoops of what flavor the kids like.
Then I take vanilla add it and some extra sugar ( a couple tblspns) also add some milk i add it as i mix so i can see how thick they want it some like it thin and some like thick...then i mix it in mixer til smooth..comes out so yummy!!!

GET YOUR FAVORITE KIND OF FRUIT(i prefer blueberries, strawberries and bannans) get a blender put your fruits and put ice and icecream ,blend and enjoy!!!!!
