The best way to brew coffee to serve over ice is the cold water brewing method...preparing coffee using this process of coffee extraction makes the best iced coffee you have ever tasted....
*** I have 10 years experience in the retail coffee business
idk
i like folgers coffee
make it to your preference, and when its still hot, put as much sugar and cream until its to your satisfaction
then stick it in the refridgerator
if u want coffee ice to help keep it cool, throw it in the freezer for a few hours
Tim Horton's coffee or a high quality brand, brew it really strong, 2 scoops for 1 cup, use 18% cream and add desired sugar, put in blender with ice......
one way I used to make mine was brew the coffee as usual and then pour it over a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream, so good!
also good coffee with chocolate syrup and some of that coffee mate creamer stick it in the freezer a little or throw in the blender, yummy!
Make some fresh brewed coffee and put anything you want in it. Creamer, sugar, honey, etc... Then, put it in a cup or a thermos. Wait about 10 minutes, add ice if you want and...voilla' - Ice coffee
Ps. Starbucks is overrated, but the seasonal holiday drinks are fantastic!
Brew freshly ground coffee double strength, add enough ice so that the coffee becomes room temperature, and then you pour it into a cup and add ice. Cream and sugar if you take it.
A good coffee to use for iced coffee is a blend of latin american beans and african beans, something of a medium roast. Too mild and it will be too acidic.
Brew it at least twice as strong, and let it sit in the fridge for at least 30 min. A way not to water it down too much is the ice cubes. If you can, get an extra tray, and fill it with the cooled coffee... then you'll have coffee cubes, so when it melts it won't destroy the flavor. If you like it sweeter, add the sugar while the coffee is too hot. Or combine 2 parts sugar to 1 part water heat it just a little to make liquid sugar (or you can also buy corn syrup at the store). You can add the liquid sugar to the cold coffee.
Those are my tricks! I hope you enjoy your iced coffee!
Well i use tasters choice instant coffee and i either chill it or keep it a room temperature. Then mix it up with low fat milk, add some chocolate powder for a chocolate iced coffee. French vanilla instant coffee from international coffees. You can also add flavored cremes like Irish cream or hazelnut.
And some crushed peppermints for a minty coffee version. Add caramel, ingredients into a blender and u got home made"frappacinos" Top it with whipped cream, yum yum!
Double strength brewed is the way to go!
OOOOH sounds so good!
If you just ice the coffee you make for breakfast, it will be very weak. Make ice cubes out of you unconsumed breakfast coffee and then make the coffee you are going to drink about triple strong. Oh yeah, use a good coffee to start.
So you don't like Starbucks, but I work there and this is how we make it: brew coffee at twice the strength, then add the same amount of cold water to what you have of coffee. P.S. Starbucks isn't THAT bad!
Hi, you should try Toddy Cold brew. The equipment is affordable and the brew is amazing!
To make the cold brew coffee:
1. Filled the brewing container with 1 pound of medium ground coffee.
2. Pour 4 cups of cold water over the coffee in the filter.
3. Waiting is the game, hang on there for 5 minutes -Please Don't Stir.
4. Then, slowly and evenly add 5 more cups of cold water -again, do not stir.
5. Place the container in the refrigerator.
6. Allow 10-12 hours for the coffee to steep through the cold press filter. The liquid coffee will drain through the filter into a glass carafe.
7. When the cold filtering process has been completed, store the finished concentrate and keep it tightly capped and refrigerated until use. This yields about 9 cups of cold coffee concentrate.
