Starbucks Green Tea Frappuccino??!

Question: I got a green tea frappuccino the other day [without whip] and really liked it. It was a bit too sweet, though. What caused the sweetness? Was it possibly the melon syrup??

It is definitely the melon syrup that causes the sweetness. Next time go ahead and order it with half the melon syrup in it.

There are a few people in my store who get it without any melon. You may want to try that, however, it was just a little too bitter tasting to me. Also, it doesn't smell as near as good!
Go ahead and keep leaving off the whip. I love the whip, but whip is going to make it even sweeter.

it was somethin that they put in the drink. go 2 starbucks and ask. next time get whipped cream 4sho!!

tht drink is positively delicious lol idk y it would be too sweet though...the whip makes it! lol

It' supposed to be freakilshy sweet, otherwise it is just like regular green tea. green tea doesn't have a very distinc flavor, it is very weak. The excess sugar is to make it taste like something

Yes, the Frappuccino contains Creme based mix, which is primarily skim milk and other ingredients, Melon Syrup, and Matcha powder (green tea concentrate).

You can ask for it with half the amount of melon syrup (half sweet).

No idea but it sounds good! This is the first time I have heard of that particular drink and I love all things green teay.

yes, it's one of my favorites at that place. They normally put 4 pumps of melon syrup. I get 2 pumps and it tastes pretty good. They also put heavy cream in the drink. The green matcha powder is green tea concentrate used in japanese green tea ceremonies, but it doesn't make it sweet. It makes it green though.
