Green Tea and health benefits?!


Question: Ive heard that Green tea is pretty healthy but is it still as healthy when you add splenda or some honey to it?

It's still healthy for you. Honey can speed up cavity formation, though, so if you add honey to your tea, rinse your mouth out with water after each cup. Splenda doesn't have this effect.

Yes, i think green tea as well as other teas are an acquired taste. You can add stuff to it without ruining the health benefits. There have been studies on this with adding milk, sugar, etc. Nothing really diminishes the EGCG content and antioxidants of the tea.

Honey, yes. Splenda, no. Artificial sweeteners are terrible for you.
