AN espresso is a process of brewing coffee. A fresh ground coffee is placed in a espresso machine and the water is steam pressed through the grounds to the cup. A shot of expresso is, well a shot 1.5 ounces. It is very strong and hardy.

I love espresso as an accompaniment with dessert, and I like Americano, which is espresso shots diluted in hot water and drunk like a regular coffee.
