Soda while pregnant?!
Answers: Which soda is worse to drink while pregnant? Or any of them?
One of the problems I had with soda when I was pregnant was the sodium content, which contributed to my high blood pressure. Also you can develop pregnant related diabetes if you drink soda while pregnant. What does your doctor recommend?
My doctor said anything diet or with caffeine you should avoid.
On the other hand, too much sugar isn't good either.
Drink more water.
I try to drink only caffeine free sodas which my doctor says is fine but drink those also in moderation. I have maybe one a day. Even though they are caffeine free they still have a lot of sugar. It is best to avoid diet sodas because a lot of them are made with sugar substitutes for lower calories but you shouldn't have any kind of sugar substitute while pregnant. It is also ok to have a little bit of caffeine. My doctor said that 12 oz. of caffeine a day is enough.
Not sure here, I haven't researched it, but I've heard many times that carbonation of any kind can rob you of the calcium in your bones, which would naturally be bad for a baby, too.
you shouldn't have caffine. it isn't proven safe or unsafe for baby yet. better safe than sorry
