Better hydration?!

Question: I drink alot of soda and I am trying to cut back..too much sugar....feel yuck.....but I have been so spoiled with flavor that water won't cut it. Is tea a good substitue? I hear that the caffeine dehydrates you but how does that work? Is it any better with switching to tea? What about the sweetened teas?

This is a simple problem: I had the same one.
I drink LOTS of tea. Tea is 98% water! And dont worry about the caffeine: black tea has the most, and it's not much. Then green. And herbal (like Chamomile) has zero!

My favorite is called Vanilla Chai. I brew it in a big batch and put it in a container in the fridge. Then when i want some, i mix some sugar and milk-so good! And you can ween yourself off sugar by using less each time. Im down to one spoon!

Hmm..Have you tried flavored water?

Tea is a little better than soda but not by much...

Hi I dont think I need to tell you that areated drinks does no good for our body nor too much of tea would help.
Instead you can try coconut water or buttermilk.

Many of the drinks that are on the shelves these days are diuretics (in other words, they take the place of water in your system, and since your body is mostly H2O, you are dehydrated). Soda, Tea, Coffee, even the Decaf, are like bomb shells to your system.

I can relate about feeling like water is blah after so much flavor in the sodas. Something you can consider trying are additives to your water. You need to watch out for flavored waters and the powders that are available to put in water, as many of them contain just as much sugar as soda (people feel better about drinking them cause they are "being healthy" by drinking water, but its an illusion).

Something that I found worked very well was trying lemon or lime juice in the water. Not much, just a drop or two (flavor to taste) and it usually tasted like Sprite, only better. There are also various other fruit cordial concentrates that you can use to add a different kick. Try them out and see which one you like best. Its a healthy way to stay hydrated, while cutting down on the empty calories of soda.

Try some sweet tea flavors such as mandarin orange tea, use the sugar that the health stores sell made from birch tree's.

im the same way, so i choose gatorade MMM SOO GOOD>
