Do calorie-free drinks taste weird to you?!

Question: Those zero-calorie drinks with sucralose and other sweeteners taste weird to me. They also feel weird going down my throat. It makes me feel like coughing. Does anyone else experience this?

Yes! I know what you mean. If you have sensitive tastebuds, like myself and it seems like you as well, then the "fake" sweetners will just never taste natural.

My advice is to not drink them, just go for natural drinks like teas and add a little bit of cane sugar.

Coffee has no cals, and it doesn't need much sugar.

And Vitamin Water, is the BEST, doesnt taste weird at all.

So hope that helps my friend!

nope.

They taste very weird to me too!

I avoid aritficial sweeteners for several reasons. One being the icky, artificial, after-taste that some have

maybe you have an allergy to something in them...just a thought

Yes. I think they are nasty.

yes

yea they're gross

calorie free drinks taste weird yes, thats because i never drink them

yes they r so butters completely unpalatable i dont understand how anyone can drink them

no i think they all taste the same

Yes. Yuk. I like my diet coke better.

yeah. they taste like chemicals. gross... i'd rather drink the extra calories in sugar than a gross cancer-causing chemical.

nope I prefer Diet drinks to any other drink actually

The calorie free water from my tap tastes just fine.

The artificial sweeteners are very bad for you and you may actually be allergic to them. They are toxic to animals. They should be labeled "not for human consumption"

Sugarfree Jello is the best source to experience the weirdness of sugar substitutes :D

Yeah same!
I always think they feel as if they're really sickly and tend to make more thirsty than before i drank them

= ]

I don't like artificial sweetners, so yes, they do.

The best and most thirst quenching calorie free drink for me is plain old water.

Well the only thing taking all the calorie's out of a drink does is takes the taste out of it and makes it "better" for your body but if you're drinking drinks such as diet cokes the aspartame in it is not healthy at all it can cause blindness and alot of other problems

No coughing, or weird tastes, but I can tell the difference via taste. I usually take the sugar-free.

you get used to the taste

Ugh, those things are gross! And the aftertaste is even worse. Besides, all those chemicals are worse for people than sugar anyway.

...yes they do, i dislike the taste. Apparently aspartame is bad for one's health, which is found in sugar substitutes, colas etc

Yes, the taste lingers for hours.
