Diet Soda?!


Question: Is diet soda actually unhealthy? can too much be bad for me?

I originally started drinking it cause i thought it was healthier than the normal stuff.

I possibly drink maybe 2-4 glasses a day of diet Rootbeer, is that too much? Someone help me out.

Soda of any kind is bad. Diet is just usually seen as "healthier" because it doesn't have all the sugar. In actuality, it has a crapload of sodium and chemicals (aspartame or any of those other artificial sweeteners). It's also harsh on your teeth. The acids and what not wear down the enamel and make you more susceptible to stains and sensitivity problems. The carbonation is soda is bad for you, too, because it's replacing the oxygen in your body with the carbonation. The sodium is plain bad for your overall health, too.

You're better off just drinking water, m'dear. :] Cut down your soda consumpution gradually.

Diet soda is just fine.
No reason to worry.

I also heard that is was bad for u. So I just added a little extra water in with my diet. Those water flavoring things dont that bad once you find a flavor you like

Soda in general is bad for you. 2-4 glasses is way too much! I don't drink that much in a week. Try milk, juice or water instead.

I believe that yes you are drinking too much soda. Soda in general is bad for you and you are drinking 2-4 glasses a day.

That's all I drink. It's not so great for your teeth tough, if you drink too much.

Diet Soda is actually pretty unhealthy for you. I mean, if you look at the ingredients..putting all that stuff in your body isn't good. Regular soda isn't good for you either, of course.

I mean, a glass of soda won't kill you, of course, but too much of it is bad. I would limit it to only one glass of diet soda a day, and if you don't really like water you can have tea or juice or something like that.

i heard that diet soda is bad because the of the things they put in it to make it diet. i would just one glass of water to those 2-4 glasses of soda. that should help counter-balance it.
