It's a blend of different black teas (assam, darjeeling, sri lankan...). It's a bold & robust tea. Very nice and a UK favorite. It's not unhealthy, but green or white tea contain antioxidants and are considered healthier teas.

Any tea is wonderful. I would not say that it is unhealthy. But there ARE teas that are better for your health and that contain more fighting antioxidants that our bodies benifit from. Green tea, as I'm sure you've heard is very healthful. Other pro health teas are:

White Tea
Oolong Tea
Herbal Teas

Teas are the ancient benificial medicines of civilization!

Enjoy!

Desi Chef is right, when I worked as a chef I was employed by a chain of Canadian hotels, we had High Tea in the afternoon like in the U.K, English and Irish breakfast teas are a bit more robust, have a bit more zing to get you going in the morning, but can be consumed anytime of the day.

I like both, but do prefer the English one in the morning, I drink more PG Tips than loose teas, but the bag type of Twinnings is good, just a bit more pricey then Red Rose or PG Tips for me. I have a pot every couple of days, not as much at breakfast anymore.
