Help with coffee maker!?!

Question: I can never seem to buy a coffee maker that makes a decent cup of coffee. Granted, I have never spent over $30 for one, so perhaps this is the reason?? All the coffee makers I have tried have made very tepid cups of coffee (bleck!) and I hate the taste of the coffee, as well (and I have tried every brand of coffee there is out there!) What am I doing wrong?? Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try a electric perkolator,It brews with hot but not really hot water and heats the coffee after the flavor has been extracted.I get a mild chocolate flavor from most brands! I broke my Mr.Coffee and thats all I could get at a small area store quickly,I'll never get anything other now!! 1 tsp. per cup.

I think its more likely the type of coffee bean you are using. Get yourself a good fresh ground coffee bean maybe even a flavored bean and try that.

I hate to say that if you are spending less than $30, you are going to get some nasty coffee. Usually cheap coffee makers will burn the water and thus give you burnt coffee.
If you want to go cheap, but still want good coffee, I am going to suggest that you buy a French Press. You will have to boil the water, but because of that you control your own water temp and you will get great, smooth coffee.
best of luck!
