About a pint. Try that, and adjust next time if it's too strong or not strong enough.

i always do 8 cups with 4 heaps... so 2 cups per heap.

1 cup per LEVEL teaspoonful

BEST coffee I ever had was in camp, pan of boiling water, threw in a lid full of coffee, let boil for 4 minutes, poured through a clean hankie to strain out the grounds and pine needles and whatever was flying around at that time.

I use a level tablespoon per cup indicated on the pot (automatic coffee maker).

START OUT W/ ANY ONE OF THE ABOVE ANAWERS AND ADJUST TO TASTE

Depends on how fine the grind is. I grind mine coarse and use one heaped tablespoon of coffee beans per cup using a drip type machine.

when i make coffee for my parents they have me do 4 heaping scoops, and i'm pretty sure the pot is 12 cups.
so 1 scoop per 3 cups.

but obviously everyone has their own opinion, depends on how strong you like it!

6 ounces water 1 tablespoon coffee for regular
2 tablespoons coffee for strong

you need to experiment with this, coffee preference is very personal, some like strong coffee, australians generally carry a small hand axe to chop some brewed coffee to chew on, while the spanish like the expresso so strong you can float mercury on it.

look at what came with your coffee maker and remember, you can always add a bit more coffee, but deluting it is an art.

some people put a pinch of salt on the grounds to buffer the taste, some put egg shell? for other reasons, black pepper will add a kick to the coffee.

different roasts, different grinds, all go into making good coffee. you just need to experiment and find what you like.

mocha, my favorite coffee out of arabia is very hard to get and takes very little to make strong coffee, rich and flavorful.

live and learn, and try many different types, you will find the experience a good one.

2 tablespoons of coffee for every 6 ounces of water.

less than that will make the coffee over extracted and bitter.
