I live in CT. and my family was having a discussion about deliveries... back in the day...?!
Answers: about milk deliveries, chip delivery and soda deliveries. So for the older generations... what was the name of the soda deliveries? (not foxon park, fairfield county area)
I never lived in CT, but I grew
up in the olden days in
St. Louis and we had the
milk deliveries by horse and
wagon. We also had fresh
produce/baked goods/misc
sundries such as sewing needs/pots and pans/ribbons.etc.
there was also the coal and ice man that delivered. First
by horse and wagon and later
by motorized truck.
Life was much simpler when
a truck came to your door and
you could buy whatever you
wanted. I also miss the
corner venders such as
popcorn/hotdogs/huge hot
pretzels/tamales/corndogs/
ice slush. Lots of goodies and they sure tasted better
than the foods today.
