Why is it I can drink more water in a glass then in the bottle?!

Question: Alright. Hey guys! I was just wondering, when I get a big glass and pour a full bottle of water into it I could maybe drink FIVE of them but from the bottle I can hardly drink a full one! Why is this?

First, the opening is wider on a glass, which doesn't require you to purse your lips-you can drink more at a time. With a bottle, in order for water to come out, air must go in, which causes air to be sucked in with your mouthful when you drink from the bottle. More air in your stomach means less room for water.

the answer is air.

The glass allows you to chug a lug and so you get more faster, a bottle is for sipping and gets warm and nasty, besides you contaminate the fluid that touches your lips and goes back into a bottle making it ick afte a few swigs
