Tomatoes lower blood pressure, not Store-bought Tomato juice;most of it contains high amounts of Sodium.

You can make your own tomato juice and control the amount of salt you add to it.

I linked a couple sites for you to look at, one is about tomatoes and high blood-pressure, the other has recipes for tomato and vegetable juices.

Hope it helps =)

Exercise and diet lower high blood pressure. Minimize desserts and fat, emphasize fruits, veggies, lean meats and fish ---- exercise moderately for 30-45 minutes per day and the BP will go down.

do not have proof but in the hospital where I was for 10 days I was offered low sodium tomato juice every day. And I have diabetes and high blood pressure. They are very strict on what you are allowed to have.

Hmmm, I'd be skeptical, unless you drank the low sodium kind because regular tomato juice and V-8 juice is loaded with salt, which isn't so good if you have pressure problems. Follow whatever your doc recommends. Mine wants me to increase my exercise and cut down on salty foods. Bananas are good.
