Where can I find an eco friendly water bottle?!

Question: This year I am no longer drinking bottled water. I want a water bottle that is made out of recycled material, or something that is produced in a less/ non harmful way to the earth. If nothing like that exist is there any water bottles that support enviromental causes. Is it better resource wise on the earth top buy a steel bottle or a plastic one?

I recommend a polycarbonate bottle. They are preferred in Europe over softer plastics, and the molecules don't "leach" into your water with repeated use. Another option entirely is stainless steel. Heavier, but def eco friendly. It will last forever without breaking down or harming the planet. Don't use aluminum -- linked to Alzheimers after extended (multi-year) use...

Just noticed another answer saying to reuse your bottles from bottled water. Don't do that. The industry is open about these being single use bottles. The plastics eventually break down and the plastic molecules wind up in your water....

it's better to reuse one of the 15,000 plastic bottles you already purchased and reuse it.

instead of using recycled material, reuse something you already have and recycle it that way!

Just using a reusable container is good. Just make sure you wash it regularly.

Steel bottle, it keeps cold cold and hot hot plus when its recycle its strap metal instead of laying in city dump for 20 years

drink water out of a glass sand is a renewable resource and it classie!

Why don't you simply buy one pretty water bottle that you like the design of...and refill it with tap water (which is what bottled water is anyway)...keep it in the fridge and use it over and over again. Then you will be recycling everytime you use it. One bottle, refilled 100 times. Voila! When it gets old (or lost) buy another pretty bottle.

find at ebay.com

I don't knnow if this goes against what you want but Poland Spring[s] bottled water has a new eco-friendly bottle shape (by cutting out 30% more plastic) and when you're done you can recycle it for 5 cents.
=] hope this helped!!
