Jack LaLane juicer -- anyone have this problem?!

Question: Ok, I got all the oranges washed and cut. Popped them into the juicer. And there goes the pulp out the back all over the counter, refrigerator, knife holder, cabinets. I didn't put the pulp catcher under the slot. What a mess.
Is anyone else that lame-brained?

I'm sure no one will admit it but fess up, I don't want to be the only one.....

I did it only once - had this juicer for about 2-3 years now and love. but one day, yah.... forgot the pulp catcher and did the same thing ! :)

Only the first time you use with juicer without reading the instruction booklet ;*P

the product was too high maintenance with cleaning and prep work, so i got rid of it. there's easier to use and cheaper products available.
