Is it wrong to tell my child that green Starbursts are bogey flavoured so that he'll leave them for me?!

Question: It's my fave flavour.

Will I scar him for life?

Answers: It's my fave flavour.

Will I scar him for life?

No...in years to come he will tell all his little friends about his Mother's 'funny' ways.......

He may even keep you as a lifelike exhibit in the cellar long after you have stopped paying attention!

you already look like a pig - leave them for him

yes its wrong

Also tell him that the ice cream man has sold out when he plays music!!!

No don't do that because then you will be telling him lies and if he finds out then he will think it is ok to do the same through his life.

Plus a child is more important for their umm...sweet needs lol =]

just steal them from him....i dont think i want to lie to my kids like that......like telling them about santa clause and the easter bunny....besides, its heart breaking to tell them they're nto real....

NO. Bogey's are delicious.......!!!

Happy New Year........xxx

It is most definitely the right thing to do.

Another good one is: when the ice cream van plays a tune it means that they have sold out

Aren't yellow ones wee flavoured, red ones taste like blood, f it just eat them all. I think children have to learn the hard way.

no you should not lie to your child....your child should be eating healthier too try some carrots, celery, or fruit....children shouldnt have a lot of candy its not good for their body...

yes its wrong u ******

You can tell him but since most kids seem to enjoy the taste of bogeys I don't suppose he will be bothered.

Neither of you should be eating Starbursts actually. It's full of sugar and artificial additives.

However, I would think that having a mother with a sense of humour like like that would offset any damage done by candy.

Go for it:)

The only thing that will scar him for life is looking at you my dear !! :)

this question makes me laugh. hahahahahahaha

thats not nice... l :

my um told me chewing gum leads to cancer later in life and that it could be lethal, i dont chew gum at all now. than she told me that my friends and cousins who said it wasnt were lieing!.. (and i called them liars, she never told me the truth, it just came as common sense later..)
lol.

Yak give me the red flavour any day!! I open my kids sweets and tell them I have to try them incase they are poisinous!!! Well you never know they may be......

No don't just ask him if you can have them. If he doesn't just go buy yourself a pack and dont give him any. And if he asks for one say why should i give you some when you didnt give me any.

this is what i do.and this applies to green wine gums/fruit pastilles also.
1.oooh youve got a green starburst
2.green is my favourite colour y'know
3 child (if normal) then offers sweet
4 you DECLINE no no no they are your sweets
5 child (if normal) now PLEADS with you to take sweet
6 well..........if it makes you happy
7RESULT...........

Why not just get your own?
If your child reads the ingredients, he'll know your lying. I mean, it's just candy? Why eat it anyways? It's terrible for your teeth! I'm glad I have braces, which means I CAN'T eat candy. Even if I didn't, I wouldn't eat it.

God No

haha yeah that will probably work...unless he likes the taste of bogey...

leave him alone, thats mean, but i must use that myself

It's all about you! Right?
Looks that way from here.

Ha! Ha! That's funny!

NO the green ones are the best !

Yes.

Don't lie to your kid. It's that simple.

Do I really have to tell you this ... ?
