Plain coffee drinkers--Do you like the taste of black coffee?!

Question: Do you like the taste? Did you get used to it or do you bear it for the effects (like alcohol?)

I like coffee if it has more soymilk/milk, sugar, cocoa, etc... but could never drink it black! How do you like the taste?

I love the aroma and flavour of good black coffee, especially Kona, if I can get it. Since I first smelled the aroma of a really good coffee, I tasted it before adding my usual double double. Never went back to additives in my coffee. I can tell by the aroma whether or not I'm going to like it.

I like the taste of black coffee. However, I don't like it to be overly strong.

good coffee well prepared and fres is very different from what you will typicaly find at your local gas station. get a litle truely fine quality and fresh coffee beans, grind them yourself and brew them immediatly, you may be surprised by what you taste

YAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKK

I'm still getting used to it, but I'm liking it every time I drink it. I like to try different kinds and drink it black, with a little sweetener, with a lot of sweetener, with just cream, with just milk..all different kinds of ways.

Black/no sugar or other flavorings.

Nope. Cream and plenty of sugar.

of course they like it or else they wouldn't drink it.... silly!

If I drank store bought stale canned coffee I probably wouldn't drink it black, I would need something to mask the crap taste. On the other hand drinking *$'s black is pretty risky too. If you enjoy the flavor of burnt, by all means drink it black.
If you want to enjoy the flavor of a good Costa Rica Tarrazu, or an Ethiopia Harrar, a Brazil Poco Fundo or a Java Government Estate coffee, Coffees that have NATURAL flavors, then do yourself a favor and home roast your own beans. You'll be throwing your rapa-dapa-syrup out the door. You'll kick the Burnt coffee king off your counter. You'll ENJOY rich black coffee.
But if you're only 'Into' the milkshake paduka flavored celeb drinks, don't waste your time. The 'Pace setters' don't do real, all they do is fluff.

I am with Terry on this one. If I have to suffer with Folgers and crap like that, I have to doctor it up with cream and sugar. (Unfortunately, canned crap is all some of my friends will brew)
But, if I get freshly roasted, 100% Arabica (the good stuff), then I will drink it black because the flavors that come out of coffee like that is just wonderful, and I am not going to cover that up with cream and sugar.
