Its a bad addiction?!

Question: well ever since i can remember i have been drinking pepsi and i LOVE IT. I had always been skinny up until i hit 13 then i started working out and got allot more buff. i used to have a six pack and now i don't, i'm not fat but I'm not as muscular as i was either.
I wanna know if theres any of you that also had an addiction to pop?
and if so how you got over it?
It is out of my control now i am drinking up to a 12-pack a day.
any suggestions?

My coworkers often carry around very large drinking containers from 7-11, filled with water. They make sure they drink the entire container over the course of a day and avoid other drinks.

I limit myself to one caffeinated drink a day, whether it's a cup of black coffee or a Mt. Dew, and stop there or I won't be able to sleep at night.

get a life man, its just soda..if you dont wanna drink it dont but anymore

I have an addiction to pop as well. There are around 100 calories in each can you drink...that adds up when you are drinking a lot a day. Also, it's bad for your teeth. It also becomes unhealthy if that's the only beverage you are drinking. And caffeine has it's own negative effects. I would suggest try drinking something else that is good to your taste...maybe juice or chocolate milk is good too. Keep track of how many you drink and limit yourself to a certain number each day. Think of how much pop costs. It gets expensive. If you find some good ways let me know! Right now I've cut myself way back to two or three cans a day, but would still like to drink less of it. I used to drink a ton.

that's odd you sound like my sister's bf he is dietabetic and has to drink diet soda b-cuz of the sugar. so yeah their is a soluation when you eat breakfast try having something that would taste good w/ pop then you might not drink as much!--good luck

yes. I was like you 8 weeks ago only with coca-cola. I was well over weight, and in two weeks I had lost 17lbs just by cutting out the coke. You do need to exercise those lagging muscles.

a 12-pack? thats horrible!
even diet soda is bad for you. Try drinking energy drinks or fruit juices @least they arernt jampacked with caffine
Sorry about the addiction. Just think of cutting down as your new years resolution!

that's absolutely ridiculous ahha but wahtever.
hmm i have a suggestion first off, alcohol is disgusting, so put liek half a cup of coke and a half a cup of vodka and you'll never wanna drink coke again. that's what happened to me wtih sprite...only not on purpose.....

and dont become an alcoholic it's bad ahahhahha

it's bad for you. stop

yeah, 12 is decent for an amateur. i drink like 14-15 on a slow day. WHAT? WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT IT? RUNNING IT!

i know it sounds nasty but its not!
mix your soda with a little water and put a little more everytimee!!
thats what i did

I tried going cold turkey and only having water or ice tea for couple weeks. After that i was able to tolerate diet soda. You need to try to switch to diet or something else with less calories like Gatorade or dare I say water. If you are really drinking a 12-pack that will catch up with you in a few years.
