What is green tea good for, healthwise?!

Question: We read about it all the time, but what benefits does drinking green tea actually bring? And also, anyone posting actually drink it and notice a health difference?

green tea is a great and healthy drink because it contains lots of antioxidants but ordinary tea is still good for you.

i drink it regurlarly .. it is a good antioxidant .. and yes i can feel the difference health wise , my skin i sclearer, y body less toxed and sluggish.

p.s. dont brew too long if you make ,it will be bitter

It's full of antioxidants (mop up health damaging free radicals) and it's low in caffeine.
I don't drink it often enough as I need the caffeine in builders tea, but I love it in Chinese restaurants - green tea with jasmine flowers.

edit:
After seeing English Rose's post above, I might just phase out the builders tea and drink green tea more often.

everything, it is a great dieting drink, and all the antioxidants keeps your skin fresh and alive : )

yes, i drink lots of green tea and very rarely get sick. I hope i'm preventing some other illnesses also. depending on other factors, tea can help fight diseases, prevent illnesses, and it keeps me from drinking all the other crap

well that's what they say at the moment but next year they may say different!

i drank it but found for some reason the caffeine affected me much worse than regular tea, i could not sleep and became very jumpy.

different things work for different people

it's got plenty of antioxidants

Helps with losing weight.
