Fluid Milk Sales and Consumption Overview
While total sales of fl uid milk products in the United States have changed little over the past 20 years, the
recent trend away from whole milk to lower-fat milks continued in 2006. According to USDA’s Economic
Research Service, total per capita consumption of all fl uid milk products was 181.1 pounds in 2006, or
about 21 gallons per capita.

Im with her, I go through about 1 to 2 gallons a week. Would be more if it wasnt so darn expensive!!!

We drink about a gallon of 2% a day and a gallon of Vitamin D every other day. (the baby gets the Vitamin D)

My husband, my son, and I drink the 2%

Milk here is an average of 2.89 but it goes on sale often for 2.50. My best friend in Virginia pays almost 5 bucks a gallon. Which really stinks for families over there...people will buy cheaper sodas or sugary juices instead of the good milk. : /
