How do i get over my soda addiction?!


Question: this is what Soda does to your body.
1. The carbonation irritates the stomach.
2. The stomach "cures" the irritation the only way it knows how. It adds the only antacid at its disposal: calcium. It gets this from the blood.
3. The blood, now low on calcium, replenishes its supply from the bones. If it did not do this, muscular and brain function would be severely impaired.

So, soft drinks soften your bones (actually, they make them weak and brittle) in three ways:

1. Carbonation reduces the calcium in the bones.
2. Phosphoric acid reduces the calcium in the bones.
3. The beverage replaces a calcium-containing alternative, such as milk or water. Milk and water are not excellent calcium sources, but they are sources.

The chances of getting Diabetes are greater as well.
It can also cause Cancer by;
1. You drink soda.
2. It makes you burp (acid reflux, actually).
3. The burping carries acid into the esophagus, causing lesions.
4. The lesions become cancerous.
......listen I could go on and on about how Soda is unhealthy for you, but thats just too much writing for me right now....I'm tired, I need sleep :P
but I used to love Drinking Soda as well until I found out what a negative toll it has on your health.

First try to cut back and then slowly take it away... Congrats I recently gave up soda and i dropped 10 pounds I will warn you if you drink a lot of soda with caffine in it though you will probably start getting caffine headaches from taking away the caffine out of your diet good luck!

Try sparkling water with a twist of lemon or lime. No calories, and the bubbles should satisfy your soda craving.

Switch to beer...

just put a cup of sugar... beside your regular soda everytime the urge arise.. thats how many sugar you will put in your body once you drink it...

try tea or juices..

Wean yourself with juice and sparkling water. Count how many sodas you drink in a day and start rationing, reducing the amount you drink every week or so.
