What is the difference between classic coke and the discontinued 'new' coke.?!
Answers: Just wondering, i didn't grow up when new coke came out. What did consumers not like about new coke.
They were trying to "fix" the flavor of regular coca cola.
The problem was, the flavor of regular coca cola was not broken.
They made "new" Coke sweeter, and they removed the "bite" that it had going down... People said that they "Pepsi-fied" it, but that wasn't right. The new formula tasted more like RC cola or the WalMart cola.
The taste wasn't horrible. But people hadn't wanted the change, we hadn't asked for a change, and we resented the fact that they took away a product that we liked just fine as it was.
The guy in charge of the change lost his job, if I recall correctly, and the company raced the "classic" product back into the stores shortly thereafter.
They changed the flavor and the formula. It tasted like crap the new stuff it was very string and had a bitter after taste.
I think the taste was really really bad, besides y do you want to change a good thing! (although I do prefer pepsi!)
The "new" Coke had more sugar and seemed flat. It was when Pepsi was making a serious run for the title of "King of Colas". The new Coke was god awful and the in it's wisdom Coke re-released the original formula and all was right with the world.
Well, for one, many people didn't like the unfamiliar taste of New Coke, because unlike Classic Coke, the New Coke fourmula used artificial sweeteners to sweeten the beverage. Some thought it was too sweet or just tasted funny. Even now, the Classic Coke uses artifical sweeteners, but the fourmula has been slightly changed to make it taste better even with artificial sweeteners.
