They're called Kopi Luwak coffee beans - they are eaten by wild civet cats that look a little like weasels. The coffee beans cost about $300-$600 a pound and at a restaurant it's about $50 a cup. The civet digests the soft outer part of the coffee cherry, but does not digest the inner beans and excretes them. Skeptics believe it is a marketing gimmick - completely falsified information just to jack up the prices of the coffee. I think I'd rather soak the beans in a mild acidic solution to get rid of the outer part than have it digested off by an animal, personally.

I am told that there are people who talk ****..
