True, water has no calories, and will not give you energy.

The calories used during sports are not coming from what you ingest at that moment. You need carbs and quick-energy calories like an hour before, but while you are playing you need to replenish water and electrolytes expended while sweating. You need to stay hydrated and cool, and calories raise your body temp. Afterward you need protein so your muscles heal strong from the trauma of exertion.

Yeah, but water flushes the system of toxins and keeps you peeing. I don't think you need calories for that.

I dont know its water nothing is in it.

no...water may not have calories..but its got other things that give you energy....

you drink the water for hydration, not for energy. you are supposed to eat food about 1,5 hours before the game for energy.

plus based on your details i don't think you should be drinking beer

give me best answer

No, beer dyhrates you & impairs your motor skills! You should drink Powerade/Gatorade to hydrate you and give you energy!

haha, you don't drink liquid for energy when working out or playing sports.... you drink for hydration water with a little salt or sugar is best so you get some electrolytes.... gatoraid and such are obviously also solid... water doesn't have calories because calories are measured by their ability to hold a flame (obviously not an exact science but you can read more about it if you like)

no, beer has lots of other things in it besides calories. and water doesn't give you energy, it rehydrates you so that you can preforrm better. calories are good BEFORE a game. it is called carb loading. it works in track and bball for me.
but back to your question...no don't drink beer, oh unless you want a side ache in the middle of your game, and perhaps throw up...

Drinking beer during soccer is buying trouble. But if you need added energy drink gatorade.

Pam

water in it's pure form has no calories, nutrients, vitamins, ect.. it's a good way to keep your body hydrated, but if you want to drink something during sports activities, i would suggest you drink gatorade, which has sodium, carbs, and such. beer would just impair your senses.

cuz,
its soooooooo natural and stuff.
uuummmmm, i really don't know!1
lol
sry i couldn't help!!

water doesn't give you energy, it re-hydrates the body and the reason they tell athletes to drink it during sporting events is because it re-hydrates quicker than any other liquid and also is less likely to cause cramps. The water doesn't actually give you any actual fuel to compete, but it replaces the sweat lost during intense physical work, and thus helps keep your body cooler for a longer period of time. Water helps keep the body temperature stable during intense exercise, drinks like Gatorade are the things that actually replenish your body's empty "fuel cells" so to speak.

Water burns calories and not a calories intake of our body

no you shouldnt drink beer. Water does have 0 calories, and you need it to keep you hydrated while u play soccer. See if u would drink beer u might get dehydrated really badly and might have to go to the hospital (if it is serious).

Calories come from protein carbs or fats, and water contains none of these.

well water is two hydrogen molicules for every one molicule of oxygen so if there are no calories in air, then there wouldnt be any calories in water, so water is basiclly the liquid form of air. it hydrates and replenishes, just like air replenishes

Calories (kcal) come from the three macronutrients--Protein, Carbohydrates, Fat.

Alcohol is a carbohydrate but it has 7 calories per gram (as opposed to regular carbohydrates which have 4 per gram. Fat is 9/g and protein is also 4)

water has none of these
