Don't Coca Cola legally HAVE to reveal all its ingredients?!

Question: Hi. I've heard all this stuff about the 'magic super-secret coca cola ingredient,' but thing is, if it's intended to be eaten/drunk my people, dont they HAVE to reveal all ingredients. For example, what if someone's allergic to it?

Certainly in the UK, to what I know, anything edible/drinkable has to have its ingredients very clearly stated.

Coco Cola does have an ingredients list, but is that they've purposefully not said anything, or is it that their secret ingredient is within the mixtures for an ingredient. E.g. vegetable extract - one vegetable in it could be the secret ingredient.

Thanks

Liquid poison but a great lavatory and brass cleaner.

no becuz they can keep it a secret and only release certain ingrediants to the public otherwise someone could create the same thing.

the contents yes...not the amount of each content.

The exact formula of Coca-Cola is a famous trade secret. The original copy of the formula is held in SunTrust Bank's main vault in Atlanta. Its predecessor, the Trust Company, was the underwriter for the Coca-Cola Company's initial public offering in 1919. A popular myth states that only two executives have access to the formula, with each executive having only half the formula. The truth is that while Coca-Cola does have a rule restricting access to only two executives, each knows the entire formula and others, in addition to the prescribed duo, have known the formulation process.

Technically, they DO list all their ingredients. Its not so much WHAT they put into a food item, but rather HOW MUCH of a particular item. The "secret ingredient" is a proprietary flavor, which on the can is listed as "natural and artificial flavors."

Dr Pepper does the same thing. They claim "23 flavors" but you will NEVER see all 23 listed on the can...only "natural flavors" is listed in the ingredients run-down.

Because Coca Cola is a mega rich corperation they don't have to because money is way more powerful than any law especially in the US.

lol it must list all its ingrediants and in order of quantity but you don't know what they make up so yes but no.......

sometimes

No, just as KFC can list just 'spices' in their secret recipe Coke or Pepsi or whomever can list these as natural or artificial flavors without giving away trade secrets.

there has to be some protection or the product would be cloned.

We know most of the ingredients but we do not know how much caramel or when certain this are added and that can make a difference.

Also the formula has changed some over time. For instance they use High Fructose Corn syrup now which changes the sweetness and leaves more after taste. It is also worse ofr the body than sugar.
