Why do some folks think that you're crazy if you don't agree that Ovaltine tastes exactly like chocolate milk?!

Question: I tried Ovaltine a couple different times and I couldn't get past the taste which I personally didn't like. I knew a girl who insisted that it tastes the same as regular chocolate milk and that I was making it up to not agree with her. I'd rather have chocolate syrup in plain milk or buy chocolate milk already made.

Beats me...I'm with you. Ovaltine always tastes medicinal to me. I'd drink milk plain first....or a couple of drops of vanilla extract if I just HAD to have a flavor.

Man I havent had Ovaltine in ages!! From what I remember, it didnt really taste like chocolate milk, its like a flavor of its own. Its a pretty soothing drink though. I always related it to an old person's drink!

True it is not like chocolate milk at all it is like how much does chicory taste like real coffee.

I hate, hate, hate the more chocolatey ovaltine please commercials. I am boycotting it based on that alone.

Also think of it - they say 'CHOCOLATEY' that is code for this is fake chocolate.

I think I would prefer mocklette or just vanilla in milk as someone else said.

ovaltine from which country? i tasted american ovaltine, and ovaltine made in hong kong. just like coca cola made in different countries, it was a world of difference.

american made ovaltine is more like chocolate milk, the hong kong stuff is more malty.
