Why has starbucks coffee become so fashionable?!


Question: the coffee itself isn't that great. but they have very good marketing and a strong brand identity.

starbucks was the first to introduce espresso based beverages to a broad american market. before starbucks, it was really a niche market. through there rapid expansion, advertising, and their unique product names, as well as the design of their stores, they have developed a very strong image.     if you think it is, then it's probably because others believe so.
    I dont know but its horrible! Id rather drink coffee from McDonald's or Burger King. It seems to me that 4-5 bucks for coffee is outrageous
    It rocks! It is sooo potent, I can drink one grande latte and clean my whole house top to bottom!
    I don't know but its DISGUSTING! Where's the coffee?
    Because it tastes so damn good! My favorite is a Frappiccino lite, sugar free hazelnut, no whipped cream. At night I add rum and freeze for an hour.

    My husband and I have bought several CD's at Starbucks. They have great gift items. I got $25 gift card for Christmas. I buy their cup and stuff on sale and keep them for next season. Santa has a cookie plate and espresso cup next to the fireplace at each of my grand-kids homes.

    Mom doesn't have any teeth and has Alzheimer's, so I buy her smoothies there. She thinks she died and went to heaven!

    And last but not least, it's a great place to meet a friend and just talk on the couch.

    two tell you the truth i guess it's just fashionable i love Starbucks i been drinking it since 7Th grade and that was 2 1/2 years ago. Maybe 3
    I stopped going to Starbucks. They are over priced and under flavored compared to JAVA DETOUR!
    well, i dont think its fashionable.....i just go there because i like some of there drinks and a regular coffee doesnt cost 4-5 over there. That is the price of a customized drink.
