Starbucks frappaccino tummyache?!

Question: Sometimes I enjoy one of the vanilla frappuccinos, the kind you can buy in the grocery store, I love their taste but sometimes it gives me a strange stomachache and I can't figure out why.

I drink lots of coffee and milk otherwise, and don't think I'm allergic to anything that I know of. Is there something in these drinks that I should be concerned about?

I have the same thing - it's different for some people... it could be the milk (lactose), or the coffee (diuretic and laxative for many people) and Starbucks also adds an emulsifying and thickening substance (i forget the name now) It is natural but that is what causes most people stomachaches with the product. I hope this helps... I love them so I just take the discomfort!

maybe it has too much caffine

Maybe it is too much sugar. I know that I feel nauseous when I drink or eat something my body deems too sweet. As we get older, our bodies are not able to handle the same things we put into them as when we were younger. Even a years or two can make a huge difference in what we eat. Also, eating or drinking something in excess can cause you to develop food allergies without notice. My father-in-law has eaten a snickers for breakfast and lunch every day the last 12 years. Now he can't eat peanut products or chocolate. They give him headaches and stomachaches.

It could be either the caffeine or sugar.

I always get sick from starbucks, but I still love it! I think it may be the powder they use in it! But that is the only thing I can think of!

they sometimes use outdated milk, thats why.
