Has anyone else experienced problems with the Black & Decker Smart Brew coffeemaker?!

Question: My Black & Decker Smart Brew DCM2500B coffeemaker seemed to be defective right out of the box. It brewed fast enough, didn't drip at all, but it made a clicking, ticking sounds constantly after the brewing cycle was over. Very annoying and loud enough to be heard in another room.

It seemed to be coming from the heating plate. I didn't know if it would catch fire or not, and am waiting for a replacement from Black & Decker.

They claim this is not a known problem but I've read some reviews online that mention this same issue.

Anyone else with a similar experience?

Yes I have. They say it isn't a known problem but it most certainly is. If you read reviews of that coffeemaker on Amazon.com a lot of people have the same complaint.

Although it comes highly rated from Consumer reports, their are issues with this coffeemaker.

Another thing is that it doesn't make the coffee hot enough!

no, but i'd return it as soon as possible.
