I can't seem to stay awake in the morning...?!

Question: Red bull fills my stomach to the brim with carbonation, so while i'm in class, everyone hears my stomach/carbonation noises in there. So i tried coffee...was a little better, but now i get a little nauseous before i leave in the morning. Can somebody please tell me something that is healthy, wont do damage to my stomach, and is caffeinated..it doesn't have to be highly caffeinated..just have some amount of caffeine in it?

You don't need caffeine, you need protein in the morning. Try this for a week and see if you don't feel much better. It will fill you up, get your body going, and help you to feel full longer.

In a blender put:
1 banana
1 fat free yogurt
small amount of apple juice
Your choice of frozen berries

Blend it all together and you have a really great tasting smoothie that is also nutritious.

Try organic caffinated green tea!!!!! (u can add sugar;D) Report It

  • eat a breakfast... try...a piece of fruit (banana, apple, orange) or a grain cereal (frosted mini wheates, rasin brain, chex, honey bunches of oats) eggs, baccon, toast with jelly, butter or honey, or some oatmeal. Drink lots of water while in school. Also take a mulitvitamin...one a day has special all day energy vitamins I got them at walmart. if you dont normally eat breakfast..you wont feel the change for 1-2 weeks while your body is still adjusting. Good Luck

drink green tea , you can drink it hot or cold which ever you prefer i work late nights and it helps me stay awake

you're not going to want to hear this probably but you likely need about 9 hrs. of sleep (in new book called Thrilled to Death ) and if you have trouble getting up you can try 'waking up slow' which means not just jumping out of bed but adding on 15 min. in the beginning of the morning to just slowly adapt to the whole getting up thing, then take your shower, race to get ready etc.
also contrary to the wives tale you can't make up sleep, you actually will make up sleep by sleeping more deeply in certain sleep cycles if you have time to catch up after being sleep deprived.

if our school allows you to eat/snack while in class, try some carrots. baby carrots contain a lot of energy, but healthy energy. the caffeine hits you with highs and lows. i used to drink at least 8 shots of espresso a day, but now the carrots and some tea do just fine.....

I like to blend a cup of orange juice, a cup of vodka, 7 ice cubes, 2 8oz bottles of coke black, and 3 caffeine pills. If I'm ever really tired, that gets me going. You don't have to add the vodka, it works just the same without it.
