Tap Water Purification Pitcher?!

Question: I'm switching to using tap water for drinking, rather than constantly lugging around jugs all the time. They say that Brita makes a pitcher with a filter....and it's supposed to be just as good or better than bottled water .I do not want to spend more than $30.....is there any good choices? Thank You.

I personally use a PUR Pitcher and I love it. I live in Oklahoma City and the water is HORRID!! I mean if you live in the metro it's not even completely clear it's foggy. This pitcher does a wonderful job filtering to crisp clear water like i used to have out in the country. It's fabulous!

It is also $19.99, fit's on the fridge door, and has an LED sensor at the top to tell you when to change the filter as long as you push the button on the top of it when you refill.

i use a Brita. I think I got it at Target for 20-25 dollars. It came with one filter. To me, it saves me lots of money and helps the environment in that I don't buy bottled water and don't dispose of plastic bottles. And the water tastes pretty good also. (I've done taste tests with family members)

I use the water for tea and coffee, but just so you know, the filteres are about 8 dollars each...5 dollars if on sale and if you buy more than one. Each filter lasts about 2-3 months depending on usage.

I have a Brita Pitcher and I love it. I've had it for almost 10 years. I fill it and keep it on the counter so I can chug a tall glass of water whenever I want it. I only drink tap water if I'm at someone elses house that doesn't have filtered water. It's been well worth the investment.
